Graph Data Engineer

Amida is currently looking for a Graph Data Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC, hybrid, or remote. In this role you will work across our client engagements and internal research projects, modeling existing relational data in a graph schema, loading data to graph databases, and querying graph databases for analysis. You will also contribute to technical documentation and generate synthetic data for testing and development.

What You Will Do:

• Evaluate business needs and objectives and analyze relational raw data to design graph schemas
• Generate and load synthetic data to graph databases for testing and development
• Build data systems and data pipelines for graph databases
• Design and write queries, stored procedures for data loading, migration from existing databases, and retrieval
• Contribute to graph-based analytical tools and programs
• Collaborate with data scientists and solution architects to contribute to research projects and products

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or master's in computer science, Mathematics, or Engineering
• 4 years of experience, including 3+ years of recent professional experience with Graph databases preferably Neo4j
• Proficient in at least one Graph query language preferably Cypher
• Proficient in SQL
• Proficient with data modeling and schema design
• Working knowledge of Python and Git
• Proficient with various cloud tools and services to create data pipelines, preferably on Microsoft Azure
• Commitment to and engagement in building strong and trustful relationships with teammates
• Intellectually curious and passionate about exploring new frontiers in using graph databases
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Skills:

• Experience multiple Graph databases such as Neo4j, CosmosDB, ArangoDB
• Proficient on various ETL tools and services
