POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Master Data will lead the Master Data team to support the organization in maintaining accuracy and consistency of key data points and procedures. This individual will ensure master data processes are effective, efficient and in line with the organization’s objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Lead, mentor, and support team of Master Data Specialists
- Develop action plan to audit data and complete routine maintenance on key data points within ERP to improve accuracy and consistency
- Identify and manage critical data issues and risks
- Establish regular feedback loop with business partners and align on plans for continuous improvements
- Lead the development and enhancement of Master Data KPI reporting
- Evaluate the efficiency of existing data management processes to enhance team’s capacity; create and oversee implementation of new processes as needed
- Partner with business to identify opportunities to automate and streamline master data processes
- Participate in key IT and cross-functional initiatives such as new systems, system enhancements, integration activities, etc. to ensure understanding of how new systems and/or processes could impact our master data management
- Support system implementations and business process changes
- Analyze and problem-solve efficiently; work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes to priorities
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Prior management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask/prioritize based on urgency
- A passion for data and dedication to master data accuracy/integrity
- Exceptional attention to detail; disciplined in following every step in a process and double checks for accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and actively engage across teams and roles
- Comfortable reinforcing data standards/policies and pursuing stakeholders to accomplish tasks
- Experience working in ERP system(s)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or related field preferred, plus 2 years of Operations or IT experience (or relevant experience), preferred
- Prior experience setting up master data, familiar with business process management, preferred
