Color Print Specialist

Advantage Reprographics is looking for an experienced Color Print Specialist to join our team. Pay is competitive and will depend on your experience and discussed during the interview.

Color Print Specialist Responsibilities:

• Receive, process, and maintain orders for wide format printers to perform color print services and prioritize work assignments based on customer needs, workload, and machine capabilities. Print proof for sign-off.
• Study production schedule. Estimate hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Inform the Manager of any requests that cannot be met. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Make suggestions regarding paper, binding, productivity, and color workflow options.
• Process PDF, and graphics files that come in e-mail, delivery, walk-in, or other methods.
• Ensure the required resources are available to complete the job (media, fonts, graphics, etc.).
• Evaluate output and make adjustments to obtain the desired level of image quality.
• Troubleshoot problems that occur during job submission or the printing process.
• Address problematic orders and customer complaints.
• Experienced with large and small format finishing, mounting, and packaging.
• Perform quality control checks on each job produced.
• Minor maintenance functions include cleaning, replenishing consumables, and replacing filters, and waste containers.
• Provide good customer service to maintain current accounts and enhance the company's image.
• Process, comprehend, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Minimal graphic layout and typesetting.
• Gather, organize, and wrap completed work for delivery to customers or the next department.
• Report mechanical failure to the Production Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in print production as well as willing to learn new processes if needed.
• A working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office. Experience with other industry standard graphics applications is a huge PLUS!
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with speed and quality as a priority. You will operate multiple machines simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Able to work and complete tasks independently.
• Must be driven to succeed and is an energetic self-starter and team player who is trustworthy and a fast learner
• Exceptional math skills, creative problem-solving, innovation, and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to hand-cut material with a cutting blade or vertical saw
• Ability to take on occasional late-night and/or weekend work.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
