API Developer - APIGEE - 53001

Pay Range - $35 - $40/hr

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position of API Developer APIGEE to work in Miami, FL or Plantation, FL or Juno Beach, FL on Hybrid basis.

MUST HAVE:-
1. APIGEE Proxy dev experience
2. Multi-platform API Experience

NICE TO HAVE:-
Tyk
AWS- if they have this they can help the team with other aspects

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain Apigee, including development work on the platform.
• Configure and implement Tyk, as well as other potential tools, for scalability and security.
• Assist in installing and running the Tyk application in a cloud-based environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, and product owners, to gather requirements and define API specifications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specifications, user guides, and developer documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and integration problems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in API development and recommend improvements to enhance NextEra Energy's API ecosystem.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of APIs to ensure they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and external partners to integrate their systems with Client's APIs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an API Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of API projects.
• Experience with Apigee, including development work on the platform.
• Familiarity with Tyk or other API gateway tools, with a focus on configuration and implementation.
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, and knowledge of containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
• 4+ years of experience in API development and full stack development, with proficiency in any programming language.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Inquisitive and proactive mindset, with the ability to ask questions and get the job done.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders and effectively convey technical concepts.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Tyk or other API gateway tools, with a focus on configuration.
