Baler Room Scrap Attendant

Seda North America is looking for 2nd and 3rd shift (M-F, 3p to 11p/11pm to 7a) baler room scrap attendant. The Baler Scrap Attendant will maintain the baler room and support production by retrieving and moving materials with a pallet jack to the baler room where it will be placed in the shredder or baler, formed into a bale, bound, and made ready for recycling pick up.

2. Specific Duties

• Collecting bagged scrap and materials from various departments on the production floor
• Loading the baler with material, creating strapped bales, ready to ship
• Placing material into scrapper for shredding
• Maintains clean and organized work area, following 5S
• Maintains safe work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• May operate a pallet jack, forklift for movement of recyclable scrap
• Work to Health and Safety, Quality and GMP standards at all times
• Adhere to Company rules and workplace policies and procedures
• Additional job duties as assigned

3. Skill Requirements:

• 2-5 years pallet jack and/or forklift driving experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred
• Baler experience preferred
• Team player
• Problem Solving/Analytical.
• Time Management, ability to work in a high paced manufacturing environment
• Initiative
• Flexibility (ability and willingness to learn and accept change)
• Reliability (Time keeping and adherence to procedures)
