Mainframe Storage Engineer
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and troubleshooting of the current mainframe storage environment
Provide effective production support, including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer/vendor dialogue
Documen tsmall- to medium-scale projects and deliver presentations with minimal supervision
Dissect complex situations and refocus on critical technology tasks
Musthave a high degree of technical expertise/professional mastery to recommend process improvements
Provide Level 3/4 engineering support for the enterprise mainframe platform
Installation of software products
Recommendation of parameter changes, data analysis, and tuning recommendations
Required Skills:
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience working in z/OS storage administration
Must have expert-level skills with IBM DS88 and TS77 storage solutions to include design, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance analysis and tuning
Expert skills in DFSMS and DFSMShss
Musthave expert skills in GDPS Global Mirror and GDPS Metro-Global Mirror
Experience in z/OS installs, configuration, and systems management
Expertz/OS performance tuning and troubleshooting
