The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving private event sales growth and revenue by developing and executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering relationships with new and existing clients.
Pay: $65000 - $75000 / Year
*Plus commission

Job Duties:
- Prepare arrangements with clients for functions that are booked in person, via the telephone, or through correspondence. Obtain all pertinent information concerning the event, i.e. the size of the party, menu, and schedule of events. Work directly with the client in setting up and following through on all event details.
- Negotiate the price with clients, and draw up and secure contracts.
- Work with the other sales personnel and the DOC to generate new business and maintain contact with current accounts.
- Ensure that each banquet room is inspected prior to a function to verify that the room set-up, menu, and schedule of events are correct.
- Solicit, negotiate, and book new/repeat business by outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking
- Achieve revenue sales goals
- Maintain existing accounts as well as solicit new business
- Observe all restaurant Polices and Procedures.
- Work with fluctuating schedules based on departmental needs
Education/Experience:
- 3-5 years related experience required.
- Delphi / Salesforce Knowledge preferred.
Required Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Detailed oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Strong background in hospitality and event planning.
- Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, Delphi, and Outlook.
