Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient part-time AR Coordinator to join our dynamic accounting team. You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all financial transactions, ensuring the smooth flow of both accounts payable and receivable functions.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices in SAP daily, focusing on specific orders which require price verification across platforms. Manage Amazon dropship invoices and reconcile daily deliveries with open order lists.
- Enter all accounts receivable (AR) invoices into SAP.
- Upload invoices to customer portals as needed.
- Compare customer payments with invoices in SAP, identify discrepancies, and research/resolve short payments.
- Verify and resolve the validity of unauthorized deductions or other discrepancies (chargebacks, shortages, or any other charges from customers) by obtaining and investigating information from other depts.
- Issue credit memos for customer chargebacks and generate/maintain customer remittance spreadsheets.
- Prepare and send weekly billing statements, following up on past due invoices and maintaining communication with delinquent customers.
- Post customer payments by recording ACH and credit card transactions.
- Update receivables by running weekly aging reports.
- Maintain records of invoices, debits, credits, journal entries, and spreadsheet reconciliations.
- Resolve collections by examining customer payment terms, payment history, and credit lines.
- Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Perform data entry or other accounting/finance tasks as assigned.
- Assist with auto-packing orders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in a leading ERP system like SAP (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
