MRI Supervisor

Compensation: MRA offers competitive starting compensation based on qualifications and experience. The compensation range for this position is between $39.60 and $64.90 per hour.

A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.00 will be offered to well-qualified candidates.

Position Summary:

Leads MRI modality to ensure that a high quality, cost-effective service is delivered in support of the hospital’s strategic plan, and the department's goals and objectives. Works in a clinical capacity as needed.

1. Responsible to ensure accreditation is obtained for all equipment.

2. Successfully schedule staff for modality to include hospital and office staff.

3. Provide smooth implementation of any new equipment.

4. To act as liaison between Radiologists and technologists.

5. To develop protocols for new procedure.

6. To successfully implement new protocols.

7. Facilitation of daily workflow within modality.

8. To troubleshoot equipment m malfunctions.

9. To act as intermediary between staff and management.

10. Provides clinical supervision and instruction to students by maintaining and understanding of policies, procedures, and the clinical competency process (in order to evaluate student growth and competence in performing radiographic procedures).

Responsible for obtaining quality images and delivering exceptional patient care. Requires ability to follow established scanning protocols and to adjust as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and focus on safety. Must comply with MRI safety guidelines.

Responsible for review of each exam for technical accuracy (i.e. technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.) and completing verification process in PACS. Also ensures proper charges are entered and referring Physicians orders are verified.

Position Requirements:

• Must be graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Must have CT State License and be ARRT registered (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Requires MRI certification (or obtained within six months of hire date).
• Must be proficient in working with Electronic Health Records (EPIC experience preferred).
• Must be committed to maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• At least three years of experience working as an MRI Technologist
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and motivate others
