Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #KC-CW)

Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Syracuse area with a teenage boy providing respite services. He enjoys being active and has memberships to various locales within his community. He is looking to spend his time with someone who likes to be active as well, someone who potentially can introduce him to new things to try. There are no behavioral supports and no personal care needs; this individual is very laid back and happy go lucky. Respite services will be mainly provided out in the community, and at a nearby horse farm where he takes riding lessons.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, creative, and energetic; prior experience not necessary. Reliable vehicle and New York State driver's license is required. Specific training to this individual will be provided by the family with ongoing support provided by the agency supervisor.

Hiring for after-school hours, Monday through Friday 1:30-4pm with 2-3 hours on the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday. Provider schedule can be flexible; the family is willing to accept support any combination of days, if not all. The payrate is $20/hr with reimbursement for mileage and the staff's fees for participation in any activities. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The first bonus will be a payment equal to 3% of wages earned from 1/21/2024 to 6/8/2024. The second bonus will be a payment equal to 3% of wages earned from 6/9/2024 to 11/9 /2024.
