As an Intern in our Human Resources team, you will be working with experts that will provide you with invaluable skills to set you up for a successful career.  This will allow you to work on key initiatives and global projects that will develop an understanding of the work that goes on behind-the-scenes of a lean HR organization and gain practical knowledge on how to scale an infrastructure of a hyper-growth company.  There will be a focus on People and Data Analytics where you will gain hands-on experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data.  This will be a remote position with the expectation to occasionally commute to the Wall Street or Jericho, NY office when needed.

 

Under the direction of HR Chief of Staff, some of the responsibilities you will partake in:

Support HR Operations by helping to identify, trace and audit existing HR data from multiple systems and/ or sources:

    • Assist in evaluating existing HR data, data sources and workflows, and analytics capabilities.
    • Help collect and organize HR data from various sources (e.g., employee records, surveys, performance evaluations).
    • Help coordinate internal audit of HR data fields and validate information within current HR systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Develop and optimize data collection procedures from large datasets.
    • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures that will enhance data integrity and efficiency.

Support design and implementation of HR Dashboard

      • Research best practices regarding HR KPIs and Dashboard Design.
      • Identify critical HR KPIs.
      • Develop project plan to design and deliver HR Dashboard
      • Partner with IT PowerBi team to visualize data insights through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
      • Anticipate ways to monitor data analytics KPIs and provide actionable recommendations.
      • Assist in performing analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights related to employee data.

Shadow/Support the HR Functional Leadership Team on strategic ad-hoc projects.

  • May include mini rotations through different functions, including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, HRIS, etc


These are the required qualifications for this role:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree or PhD in Human Resources, Organizational Development & Industrial Relations and/or Business Administration with a concentration in HR or related field of study.
  • General computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • May handle sensitive materials and/ or situations with confidentiality, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Positive attitude and growth-mindset.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in Human Resources is a plus.
  • Experience working with PowerBi or other data visualization tools is a plus


A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $20/hour. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
