Laboratory Assistant

Kinectrics ArcWear division is seeking a detail minded individual for a full-time Laboratory Assistant position at our newly constructed facility in Louisville, KY.

Qualifications/Requirements:

H.S. diploma required. Some science related college coursework preferred.

4+ years of prior work experience with 2+related practical work experience.

Experience working in or having completed coursework involving the use of good laboratory practices is a plus.

Strong attention to detail is a must.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.

The ability to effectively speak and write in clear, concise manner.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future)

What will you be doing?

On a daily basis you will use specialized equipment to conduct testing on various textile specimens. Working within prescribed protocols and procedures you will prepare, condition, and test items. Must be able to follow detailed instructions to produce reliable, precise data and accurate records.

Standard testing methods include abrasion testing, cut/tear testing, wash/dry cycle testing, and heat and flammability testing, and other established testing protocols.

Additonal routine clerical duties include preparing shipments for samples to be returned to clients.

May be asked on occasion to assist with special research projects as needed.

Other tasks as assigned.
