Role Summary:
As our Medical Director, you'll play a vital role in clinical care provision and oversight. Your main responsibilities will include ensuring evidence-based high-quality care is provided in line with PACE program standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and our organizational mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care to PACE participants.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate employed physicians, advanced practitioners, and transitions of care coordinators.
- Oversee the Quality Improvement and Performance Improvement Program (QAPI).
- Monitor utilization management trends and set outcome targets.
- Oversee provider after-hours on-call arrangements to ensure 24-hour provider availability.
- Stay current with literature and best practices, making recommendations to adjust policies and procedures as needed.
- Develop collaborative relationships with community physicians and other providers.
- Participate on the Quality committee and other committees or workgroups as needed.
- Passion for serving high-risk seniors and frail older adults.
- MD or DO required; active board certification in geriatrics, complex care, home-based care, palliative care, internal medicine, or other related clinical area.
- Previous experience in a PACE model or similar environments.
- Five or more years of practicing medicine with at least two years working with an elderly or frail population.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the states in which we operate.
- Current DEA certificate and up-to-date immunization records.
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish).
