GL Staffing is hiring Technicians for a company located in Davie, FL.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
Location: Davie, FL.
Payrate: $19-$22/hr depending on experience.

Job Requirements:

• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service on lighting fixtures, controllers and control interfaces.
• Visually and physically inspect all returned products. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Use calipers, power drills, screw drivers, laser testers, light meters, heat guns and other necessary tools to repair and test products.
• Document and report all issues to avoid the recurrence of defects and loss of sales. Provide timely feedback to the company regarding product failures or performance concerns.
• Participate in department wide training, cross training and mentoring programs for new and existing team members.
• Communicate clearly, regularly, pro-actively and in a timely manner service findings and feedback to the appropriate Service team managers/staff.
• Wear proper safety equipment.
• Overnight travel may be required.

Education and/or Experience:

Associates degree in electronics, electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering, 2-3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in repair/service of lighting, small electronics or technical products. Ability to interpret technical instructions, follow established procedures, and keep accurate records. Good observation and analytical skills. Must be able to diagnose and repair/service lighting equipment and control systems. Working knowledge of DMX protocol and lighting systems. Attention to detail. Excellent communication and time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision in a fast- paced environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
