Associate Attorney

We are seeking an attorney to join our team as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of workers' compensation law. Prior experience is not required, we provide comprehensive training and mentorship to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in this role. The training will occur in Long Beach CA, and then the position will be fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Case Management: Assist senior attorneys in managing a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution. This includes conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing for hearings and trials.

2. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case developments and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have in a timely manner.

3. Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support case strategies. Draft legal memoranda, motions, and other documents with precision and attention to detail.

4. Court Appearances: Attend hearings and court proceedings under the supervision of senior attorneys. Present arguments persuasively and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.

5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to achieve successful outcomes for clients.

6. Continuing Education: Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations through participation in training programs, seminars, and professional development activities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD): Must have graduated from an accredited law school and be admitted to the state bar.

2. Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies for case resolution.

3. Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are essential for client interaction and courtroom advocacy.
