Senior Civil Engineer

Our client, a leading competitor in the Civil Engineering industry is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years’ experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Michigan, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with demonstrated expertise in project management and design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and technical analyses to inform project design and development.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and environmental specialists, to integrate civil engineering components into comprehensive project designs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals, permits, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct field inspections, site visits, and construction oversight to ensure project specifications are met and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction.
