Physical Therapist Outpatient

Comber Physical Therapy is the Virginia Peninsula's only truly integrated clinic with physical therapy, chiropractic care, and massage therapy. We are currently expanding and are searching for experienced full-time therapists to assist us with our growth. We specialize in Neuro, Ortho, and Women’s Health but we pride ourselves on treating anyone who needs rehabilitation. We treat a very diverse area of ailments and each of our therapists have a wide variety of specialized areas of care.

You will be responsible for patient-centered outpatient treatment including the development of an individualized plan of care, emphasizing manual techniques and therapeutic exercise, with patients throughout all phases of physical therapy. Basic Qualifications:

Experience

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in physical therapy.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum with a bachelor's, master’s, or doctoral degree with certification in physical therapy.

License, Certification, Registration

• Licensed to practice physical therapy by the State of Virginia by date of hire.
• Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI, prior to employment start date.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work clinic hours.
• Familiarity with EMRs and daily note completion.
• Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.

Work Environment:

Clinic hours are Monday thru Friday in an outpatient physical therapy clinic. Candidate should be able to consistently lift 50 lbs. safely, and be able to assist and direct patients in safe transfer from treatment tables and therapy equipment. Candidate should be familiar with proper operation of all therapy equipment and tools, as well as OSHA standards, sanitation of equipment and treatment areas, and should have an active BLS/AED and First Aid Certification. Extended periods of standing or sitting are required; position is highly active.
