We are looking for a full-time RPSGT for our client's research site in Miami (Kendall area)!

Shift: The majority of the schedule will be overnight, with daytime work for training, meetings, or other tasks as needed. Our sleep lab is open 7 days/week, so flexibility is ideal, but we are willing to work with a variety of schedules.
Compensation: $500/night and $35/hr for activities outside of sleep study + comprehensive benefits, PTO, and 401k match

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the supervision of the clinical director.
  • Perform polysomnography, diagnostic, and therapeutic services, as well as patient care and education.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot sleep study equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Recognize and respond to abnormal patient indicators, including ECG, EEG, and respiratory issues.
  • Conduct and score sleep studies, adjusting procedures based on patient age and condition, following established protocols.
  • Initiate and adjust therapy, such as supplemental oxygen or nasal positive airway pressure, based on physician orders and protocols.
  • Prepare for sleep studies by setting up equipment, applying electrodes and sensors, and explaining the procedure to patients.
  • Monitor and document sleep study data, ensuring the quality of signals and making necessary adjustments.
  • Implement interventions as needed for patient safety and therapeutic purposes during the study.
  • Complete data collection, score sleep stages and clinical events according to professional guidelines, and generate reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold the RPSGT certification - certification number will be required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Must be comfortable with travel between site locations as needed - travel and accommodations are provided
  • Basic Life Support training and CPR certification required
  • Excellent patient support and communication skills
  • Proficient in-patient workflows
  • Bilingual preferred
  • HIPAA familiarity
  • Performing in-lab PSG and MSLT/MWT
  • Setup HST devices and educate on proper use
  • Score PSG, MSLT, MWT, and HST utilizing AASM standards
