Qualifications :

  • Proven track record in business development and program management supporting and leading marketing, capture, and growing new business in an organization with diverse programs including execution in federal government contracting work.
  • Exceptional communications and relationship building skills facing federal government civilian and military customers.
  • High energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Previous experience in conceptualizing, planning, and implementing new products or services .
  • Ability to interface and negotiate with senior executives.
  • Must have local residency in the Northern VA/DMV area OR able to relocate
  • 3+ years of sales/business development experience, preferably in the IT staffing and services industry
  • Proven prospecting and in person presentation experience.
  • The ability to build genuine connections and lasting relationships with high-energy, winning attitude.
  • B2B sales: 2 years
Responsibilities :
  • As a Business Development Manager, you'll be the driving force behind building and expanding our client base .
  • You'll leverage your networking and prospecting skills to generate leads, build relationships, and close deals .
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong ability to win new business ("close the deal") .
  • Develop capture tactics, win strategies, discriminators, competitive analysis, and teaming strategies that balance program risk and reward with minimal supervision.
  • Network and cold call to identify and connect with potential clients .
  • Schedule meetings, lunches, and visits to foster long-term client relationships .
  • Understand client needs and deliver exceptional service .
  • This role is accountable for achieving pipeline, sales, and business development efficiency results that meet or exceed assigned targets .
  • You will be responsible for identifying and engaging in strategic opportunities, developing new clients, and driving new capabilities into target accounts .
  • The role includes an individual sales contributor target comprising pipeline qualification and sales achievement along with willingness to work with a small company and take upon additional responsibilities.
  • The Business Development Manager will personally develop and sustain client executive relationships through market-facing activities (e.g., industry associations, boards, and conferences), meetings, presentations, business networking and/or other business or social events.
  • Facilitate corporate reviews; create presentations for and lead Stage Reviews and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Unlimited earning potential, including a Competitive Base Salary and uncapped incentive structure.
  • Ideally, this role will be based in the DMV area and attend in-person meetings and events as required.
  • Act as brand ambassador.
  • Participate in all capture phases for new strategic opportunities through client engagement, partner engagement, and solution development to enhance win probability.
