Operations Manager Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for an Operations Manager to add to their rapidly growing team in Akron, Ohio. Reporting directly to the Vice President, you will lead and oversee all daily operations of the production facility and its team of twenty. You will work to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes, with an emphasis on quality control. The ideal candidate will bring proven business and operations leadership experience, a strategic mindset, and a track record of implementing effective process-oriented improvements. This position has a pathway to promotion to a GM and eventual Vice President position laid out over the next decade, so those who seek continuous growth and challenge are encouraged to apply. Operations Manager Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of production
• Lead and optimize supply chain resources
• Manage production schedules
• Drive process improvement and quality control efforts
• Ensure timely equipment maintenance and repair
• Develop and mentor a staff of twenty (20)
• Champion a safety-first culture of positivity and inclusion

Operations Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3+ years of business operations experience in a manufacturing environment required
• ERP experience required
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required (Formulas, sum, average, etc.)
