Seeking a high-energy, detailed oriented HR Manager who will partner with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR support and solutions while focusing on recruitment, employee onboarding, and employee relations for our two Chicago locations.

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring ,onboarding, off-boarding of employees including background checks, drug screening, employment verifications, new hire orientations, exit interviews, etc. for non-exempt and exempt positions.
  • The successful candidate will focus 80% of their time working on Chicago initiatives and 20% of their time working on Corporate initiatives.
  • Ability to navigate complex employee issues and work with managers/supervisors by conducting full investigations, providing guidance and assisting in finding resolutions in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all HR related issues for two Chicago office locations and ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
  • Manages sensitive and confidential matters pertaining to employee relations timely and consistently.
  • Consult/coach supervisors as they handle performance issues and talent development
  • Assist with benefits administration including enrollments and terminations for medical, dental, vision, COBRA, 401(k), and commuter benefit programs.
  • Process monthly billings from insurance providers; review billings for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • HR database management including data entry and maintaining accurate record keeping.
  • Monthly reporting.
  • Handle workers' compensation and safety regulations process.
  • Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs.
  • Provide appropriate communications and promotes employee understanding of programs, policies, and objectives.
  • Maintain employee confidence and have the ability to keep HR information confidential.
  • Assist HR Director with various special projects as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field, such as human resources, labor relations, organizational development, or business and 10+ years experience working in HR.
  • SHRM Certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong writing, communication, interpersonal and research skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities to meet job expectations.
  • Experience with Paycom is a plus.
  • Knowledge and application of current HR trends, best practices and compliance issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 per year DOE
