We are seeking a skilled Surface Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for coating, applying coatings, and ensuring the quality of finished surfaces.

Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as necessary.
Operate surface treatment equipment such as sandblasters, chemical applicators, and pressure washers.
Apply coatings to surfaces using spray guns, rollers, or brushes, ensuring even coverage and proper adhesion.
Perform quality inspections on coated surfaces to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
Maintain and troubleshoot surface treatment equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Keep accurate records of surface preparation and coating activities.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Communicate with supervisors and other departments to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
Proven experience in surface preparation and coating application, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with surface treatment equipment and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Working Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
