Collaborate with a diverse team to design electrical substations supporting electricity delivery in North America.
- Engage in creative problem-solving for complex challenges in utility infrastructure.
- Execute various aspects of substation physical design, including layout plans, grounding, lightning protection, and power systems.
- Design substation protection and control systems, from panel arrangements to equipment wiring.
- Ensure quality and compliance through thorough review and field inspections.
- Lead teams and present designs to clients, authorities, and stakeholders.
- Correspond with clients, contractors, and vendors, contributing to project proposals and advancements.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's in Engineering Technology with FE exam completion.
- Master's degree may substitute for experience.
- 3 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in consulting.
- Proficiency in standard engineering techniques, communication, and problem-solving.
- Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, MicroStation, and analysis programs.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and collaboration skills.
