Manufacturing Supervisor / Paper Mill

Come join one of the best manufacturing facilities in the greater Philadelphia area!! We are seeking a Technical Lead / Supervisor on behalf of our client, a Paper Production Company. Candidate will provide technical and leadership expertise to the paper production crew. Candidates should have strong knowledge of manufacturing safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

·Enforcing mill safety regulations and leading by example while embracing Company Culture.

· Uphold product quality standards that consistently exceed customer expectations.

· Collaborate with asset leaders to enhance mill processes, introducing modifications and new procedures to enhance quality and profitability.

· Directly supervise hourly crews during shifts, including task assignment, training administration, and adherence to regulations.

· Facilitate effective communication on daily issues related to productivity, quality, safety, personnel, and maintenance to ensure seamless operations.

· Employ participative leadership to motivate employees towards achieving production and cost targets.

· Foster an inclusive environment where all team members are valued, and their contributions are encouraged.

· Drive the development of hourly employees to unlock their maximum potential.

· Take ownership of training initiatives to ensure a qualified and motivated workforce.

· Implement and oversee housekeeping programs to maintain a professional and organized mill environment.

· Consistently apply mill policies and the Labor Agreement, while nurturing cooperative labor relationships.

· Effective communication skills both in written and oral contexts.

· Must be able to work varying shifts

Job Skills and Qualifications:

· Profound comprehension of papermaking processes and the ability to adjust manufacturing techniques to meet production schedules and address issues. Candidates with proper transferrable skills may be trained.

· Expertise in machine operations, including adjustments to parameters like machine speed, stock system, and water system to influence production outcomes.

· Familiarity with the Mill Process Control System and its utilization to impact machine performance.

· Skill in managing machine operations and facilitating grade changes.

· Strong analytical capabilities to troubleshoot and rectify machine-related problems, such as paper breaks.
