Assistant Controller

This role is hybrid based in Cleveland, OH.

General Summary of Position:

The Assistant Controller will work under the supervision of the Controller and assist with planning the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports that summarize and forecast firm business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Firm financial statements

Monthly accrual basis

Quarterly for bank

Quarterly income statement by office

Variance analysis

Budgets and projections

Firm, capital expenditures, cash flo

Internal accounting management

Cash and line of credit

Receivables

Fixed assets, depreciation & amortization

Accounts payable, including signing of checks

Notes payable and shareholders' capital accounts

Staff payroll

Special staff compensation (commissions and other incentive)

Shareholders' draws and distributions

Staff and shareholder expense reimbursements

Compute staff billing rates

Subsidiaries: M+N Advisory and MN Financing

Tax compliance and return preparation.

State Commercial Activity Tax

State sales and use tax

Workers compensation

Forms 1096 and 1099

Insurance

Professional liability and cyber: renewal applications and claims

Property & casualty renewal and administration

Accounting and administration for all other policies including AICPA

Group Life

Accounting for shareholders' group insurance charges

Maintain QuickBooks for accounts payable and general ledger

Oversee, utilize CCH Practice Management for time & billing and

accounts receivable

Develop, implement, and maintain Excel applications for various firm

accounting functions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 5 years experience in public accounting or related industry
