New Perspective in Roseville is seeking an Associate Executive Director!

POSITION SUMMARY

The associate executive director (“AED”) oversees and directs department operations, programs, and team members as assigned by the DDO or the ED. The AED helps to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations as well as the Company’s policies and procedures. In the role of Associate Executive Director, you will work with the team to encourage and support residents in Living Life On Purpose™ by focusing in the 4 Pillars (Physical Fitness, Brain Fitness, Dining Experience, and Social/Spiritual Enrichment). The Associate Executive Director champions the Mission, Values and Principles of Service every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Hiring, Training, and Team Member Engagement:

  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, supervise, evaluate, and terminate team members, and conduct retention activities to ensure they are fully engaged as requested by the ED.
  • Coach team members as needed to ensure performance expectations and clinical and other measures are met.
  • Ensure all team members’ onboarding is fully completed and complies with all training requirements.
  • Direct the effort to hire team members by interviewing and pre-approving all team members’ hire.
  • Ensure all team member onboarding is fully completed and complies with all federal, state, and Company training requirements.
  • Ensure that team members provide excellent customer service at all times.

Community Management and Supervision:

  • Supervise departments to ensure that all established policies and procedures are followed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with DOO/ ED to address site deficiencies and identify risk factors.
  • Maintain staffing schedules that meet state guidelines, budgetary requirements, and overtime targets.
  • Attend in-services and/or seminars to keep current with regulatory requirements and state-of-the-art assisted living and memory care practices.

Sales and Finances:

  • Act as sales leader for the Community and lead weekly sales meetings.
  • Achieve revenue and census goals by implementing the marketing plan.
  • Prepare and meet or exceed income and capital expenditure net operating and capital budget.
  • Drive towards 100% occupancy with a wait list, yet ensure sales outcomes match monthly sales goals.
  • Maintain account receivable balance in 30 days and facilitate collection efforts.
  • Work with leaders in the greater business and civic community.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with county and state representatives.

Resident and Family Engagement:

  • Work to obtain a score of 92% or greater on the Quality Compliance Review.
  • Facilitate positive verbal communication with key family members every 60 days.
  • Respond to all family inquiries within 48 hours.
  • Maintain a Grievance Log with documentation, follow-up and required reporting.
  • Champion hospitality and deliver excellent customer service to residents, families, visitors, and vendors.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent of relative experience.
  • Experience working with older adults in senior living, long-term care, home health or other health care setting preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy for the challenges experienced by residents, families and team members and the problem-solving skill sets to support them.
  • Physically and emotionally able to provide care to residents, including lifting, assisting with balance and positioning, reaching and supporting residents to protect them from injuring themselves or team member.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use a variety of electronic devices.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
