Job Description

We are hiring for a prep and counter service position for our hand sliced smoked fish shop! We sell caviar, bagels, Jewish specialties, and lots of specialty grocery items.

EXPECTATIONS:

Lox and other smoked fish slicing, deboning whitefish, and caviar sales (no prior experience necessary for this part)
Counter service during open retail hours
Prep work including mixing cream cheese, preparing house recipes for breads, salads, and assembling platters (a day of your schedule will likely be devoted to this)
Cooking experience preferred (bread or sweet baking experience welcome)
Knowledgeable about specialty food products
Opening and set up on scheduled days and cleaning tasks/closing duties
Must be comfortable being customer facing and have a positive attitude

Hours:

Wednesday-Friday: 9-5
Saturday-Sunday: 8-3
Flexibility between full and part time to be discussed based on season and need but minimum will be 20 hours.

*Weekend availability a must*
