Job Description

We are seeking a Security Alarm Technician to join our team! You will install and repair alarm wiring and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Install, program and test new/existing alarm and security systems including burglar and fire alarms, access control systems and all related electronic security equipment in residential and commercial environments
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and security systems
Reviews and interprets wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
Installs and pulls wire as per project specifications
Installs, mounts and wires equipment used in alarm and security systems
Complete necessary programming of systems
Testing of all equipment after installation to ensure performance of system
Verifies signals, tests systems, and troubleshooting
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on alarm and security systems
Communicates daily with Team on overall job status, delays, and risks or issues
Collaborates with Sales on work orders, project inventory, completion of closeout and turnover to the Customer
Monitor and maintain inventory of service parts
Manages individual vehicle stock inventory, materials, tools, and company equipment
Educates and trains customer on alarm and security system operation and functionality
Ability to complete required contractual documentation
Represent Nighthawk Security with consistent professionalism and positivity

Qualifications:

Previous experience or knowledge in security installation, maintenance, or related fields
Ability to interact with customers
Hold a valid drivers license with a clean record
Pass a background check
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams
Familiarity with hands on power tools and equipment
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Ability to perform work on a ladder, operate boom/scissor lifts and lift up to 50lbs
Ability to handle physical workload
Attention to detail
