SUMMARY

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for analyzing complex business operations, recommending solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals, program management, contract administration, and oversight necessary to manage and deliver all performance requirements, including management of cost, scope, schedule, and quality in the delivery process across the contract. This role requires a thorough understanding of an organization's structure, policies, and operations and recommends solutions to improve general business processes and planning. This position can collaborate with one or several business units or functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership to technical resources to meet project deadlines and ensure project objectives are met efficiently.

Provide realistic and accurate estimates and continuously improve team productivity to achieve on-time delivery through increment and sprint planning.

Follow the software engineering processes, and agile practices and motivate his/her team members to do so.

Escalate and communicate issues, risks, and concerns to the management on time. Accept project delivery responsibilities and demonstrate accountability to leadership.

Build competencies in the product and technology domain to set expectations.

Provide feedback through retrospectives regarding product quality, performance, and other nonfunctional requirements and lead corrective measures.

Provide Architectural and Design Direction

Translate business process needs into technical requirements.

Promote Collaboration and Engagement

Drives the resolution of issues and holds self and team accountable for results. Supervises preparation, submission, and accuracy of all required development contracts and project deliverables.

Participate in code/oral challenges and proposal technical solutions

Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field required

Ability to obtain Public Trust

+6 years related experience, or MS in Computer Science +4 years related experience

Strong leadership and organizational abilities with the ability to work with other developers and assist junior team members.

A strong portfolio of top-class coding and builds to your name.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of the organization Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.

Strong leadership and organizational abilities.

Willingness to build professional relationships with staff and clients.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

Graduate degree preferred but not required

Agile Certifications (SAFe, ACP, ICAgile, etc.)

Familiarity with DevSecOps,

Familiarity with Amazon Web Services

Familiarity with containerization (docker, etc.)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires standing, walking, sitting, hand use, occasional lifting, reaching, and carrying.

Moderate noise level, with occasional outside work subject to temperature fluctuations.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Prolonged periods using a phone or other forms of business communication

TRAVEL

Local DC Metro travel (commute) is required.
