Diesel Mechanic Technician

Level I-III Diesel Mechanic:

Come join our team! We are looking for a tech I or II to perform repairs and maintenance on Class 6-8 trucks as directed by the supervisor by performing the following duties. The ideal candidate has around 3-5 years’ experience and is looking to grow their skillset while being part of a team!

Requirements:

·        Journeyman mechanics must have tools.

·        2-10 years’ experience on class 6-8 Trucks

·        Ability to work individually or in teams.

·        Skilled in the operation of power tools and machinery

·        Advanced knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment utilized in maintenance repair.

·        Ability to read and interpret documents.

·        Experience in welding is a plus.

·        Safety Certifications preferred.

·        Drivers License Required

·        Basic math and measurement skills.

Physical Demand:
The employee may continuously lift, move, or carry a minimum of 50 pounds, up to 100 pounds. This position may also require the use of hands for frequent simple grasping, fine manipulation, and power grasping. Reaching is frequently required at waist level and below waist level. The employee will frequently need to bend, kneel, balance, or squat. The employee will be performing a variety of physical labor including (but not limited to) climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time; lift and carry boxes, tools, equipment, and materials.

Responsibilities:

·        Repair and service customer owned equipment (Including but not limited to… brakes, clutches, alternators, radiators, fuel pumps, tires, wheel seals, PM services, after treatment systems, diagnostics, troubleshooting, etc…

·        Knowledge of machine components, hydraulics, and electrical systems

·        Prepare new and used trucks for delivery to customers.

·        Repair and maintain rental trucks and company owned equipment

·        Complete daily work assigned by the foreman

·        Request parts from the parts department

·        Familiar with repair orders and parts requests

·        Accurately record hours worked on each work order

·        Accurately state all work performed on work orders

·        Clean equipment as required

·        Run tests and diagnostics to identify the specific mechanical problems that need to be repaired

·        Strong organization and communication skills

·        Must be a TEAM player

Hours:

·        7:00 am – 3:30 pm

·        Monday – Friday

Salary:

·        $18-$32 / hr depending on experience
