Job Description

Job Description
  • Use technical expertise in the development of machine installation and modification plans.
  • Prepare, troubleshoot, and confirm equipment at vendors site and/or in PE lab during project preparation, equipment runoff, and during project installation phase with focused activity to ensure safety and quality compliance standards are met.
  • Performs online and offline PLC programming
  • Primary support to NAMCs for auxiliary equipment (robot teaching, handling device adjustment) for new die introduction.
  • Periodic support to NAMCs to investigate and countermeasure mass production problems.
Requirements:
  • Electronics & Controls Understanding
  • Press mechanics Understanding
  • Root cause analysis & c/m determination
  • Good communication skills to work in a team environment with internal and external customers.
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanics of materials.
  • Fundamental knowledge of tooling and machining.
Additional skills preferred:
  • Robot programming
  • Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems Understanding
  • 2 year Technical Degree +1 year heavy equipment and/or press experience or 3 years heavy equipment and/or press experience
Qualifications preferred:
  • 2 year Technical Degree + 3 years heavy equipment and/or press experience
  • Ability to travel to support at other locations, domestic and international; 40% travel to other sites in USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Switzerland, etc.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to perform functions
Duties include:
