Memoir Agency aims to bring meaning to every place and moment. To do that, we are looking for tenacious, collaborative, and passionate people to join our Flex Force Staff. This is an on call position, and can be involved in a wide variety of projects throughout the year. These projects will support this year's epic events include our Halloween productions, Happy Frights & Haunting Nights, as well as our flagship event Dazzling Nights, and other client services projects

Job Description:

As mentioned above, this position is hired to be on call, and is utilized to help meet deadlines on various projects throughout the year. One shift may be spent barcoding assets, while the next is spent building Halloween props, and another could be prepping assets to be shipped to the next show. This position is intended for someone who is interested in expanding their knowledge and experience in the live events or themed entertainment fields, and can be a great way to learn the in’s and outs of both of those industries. While the list below doesn’t cover all of the types of work that may be done in the position, it aims to give a general overview of what to expect when coming to work:

• Assist in staging assets for delivery
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the warehouse workspace
• Taking part in light fabrication work, with direct supervision and training
• Building assets in the warehouse for testing or documentation purposes
• Testing and QC of production elements (eg. Audio, Lighting, FX machines)
• Assist with asset management, including barcoding and inventory related tasks
• Assist with the maintenance of assets
• Assisting with the setup of assets on site for various events/ installations

Requirements:

• Ability to to complete physically demanding tasks, such as standing and/or walking for long periods
• Ability to lift objects without an established maximum weight, though most objects will be below 50 lbs. **Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow differently-abled individuals to perform the essential functions of the job.**
• A drive to learn about some part of the entertainment industry
• Ability to problem-solve, and properly escalate issues as they are encountered in the workplace
• Must work well in a team-based environment, and communicate effectively with team members
• Must be prompt, and be able to work all shifts as assigned

Pay Details:

• Starting at $17/hr. This position is on call, so there is no guarantee of specific hours. However the minimum shift worked would be 4 hours, with most shifts lasting a full 8 hours.
