Position: Application Developer
Duration: 12+ months
Location: HYBRID Detroit, MI

Summary:

As a Senior Application Developer specializing in Master Data Management (MDM), you will work closely with clients, business analysts, and team members on major projects to understand business requirements, design technical solutions, and ensure compliance with organizational standards. You will support the full systems life cycle, ensuring timely delivery of application software within budget constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in application programming and analysis, with expertise in MDM programming techniques and application design.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and design technical solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
• Support the full systems life cycle, spanning a broad range of applications, to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of application software.
• Design, develop, and test applications using proven or emerging technologies, adhering to information systems and application architecture standards.
• Provide project management support and lead projects as needed.
• Contribute to the stabilization and growth of internal Master Data Management solutions for a major healthcare payer.
• Create and maintain components that interact with IBM Infosphere MDM SE and Informatica MDM to manage mastered data across the enterprise.
• Generate master identifiers for key business entities and establish sources of truth for corporate reference data.
• Develop and maintain System Development Lifecycle Deliverables in accordance with organizational processes.
• Provide after-hours support for team on-call rotation and project or maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Five (5) years of advanced MDM programming techniques and application design required.
• Experience in systems design, development, database development, testing, and integration methodologies required.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing applications using IBM Infosphere and Informatica MDM software required.
• Proficiency in JAVA, SQL (Oracle), Stone Branch, and monitoring tools like Dynatrace required.
• Strong analytical and systems thinking skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Understanding of basic statistics calculations.
• Experience with normalized data and scripting in Python and PERL.
• Familiarity with data bricks platform and Relito's Connected Data Platform.
• Knowledge of Informatica and Ataccama reference data management platforms preferred.
