Job Description
Company Description: Saddleback BBQ is Lansing, Michigans premier craft BBQ destination, known for our authentic Southern BBQ with a unique Midwestern twist. Since June 2015, we've upheld artisanal excellence, smoking all meats on-site with locally sourced hardwoods. Driven by dedication to excellence, we've expanded from our REO Town location to Okemos and introduced Slice by Saddleback in December 2021, offering delicious pizzas alongside our BBQ. We take pride in our rich heritage, offering a mouthwatering selection of smoked meats paired with signature homemade sauces, including Saddleback Sweet & Savory, Michigan Mustard, and Vinegar varieties.

Role Description: We are currently seeking a driven and highly organized individual to join our team as a Restaurant Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing systems to ensure that our high standards for customer service, cleanliness, and food quality are consistently met.

Required Qualifications:
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proven experience in coaching, managing, and delegating tasks effectively.
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and complete tasks without micromanagement.
Previous restaurant management experience is preferred, but not required.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of implementing successful solutions.

Responsibilities as an Operations Manager at Saddleback BBQ:
Design and implement systems to ensure adherence to company standards for customer service, cleanliness, and food quality.
Identify areas for improvement and develop and implement new processes and standards as needed.
Monitor key metrics and performance indicators to drive operational excellence.
Develop and optimize supply chain management systems
Establish and enforce quality control procedures
Design comprehensive staff training and development programs
Implement and oversee safety and sanitation protocols
Manage vendor relations and negotiate contracts
Collect and analyze guest feedback Explore and implement technology solutions
Develop and execute community engagement initiatives
Lead sustainability efforts

Hours: While we have specific policies in place, flexibility is important. The position typically requires 45 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as needed. The latest any of our restaurants closes is at 8 p.m.

Benefits Include:
Competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $75,000 or $80,000 at the highest end.
401K with a 4% match.
