Premier Placements is currently interviewing for a Human Resources Manager direct hire opportunity with an award-winning manufacturing facility at their newest location in Athens, GA The HR Manager is both a strategical and tactical hands-on role through partnering with the Plant Leadership and employees on day-to-day HR guidance and support to help develop and deliver the people strategy and business solutions. The HR Manager will provide leadership in creating a high-performance culture that emphasizes employee engagement, quality, safety, and effective continuous improvement implementation to drive a highly productive workforce. This role will have lead responsibility for employee relations as well as other high-performance initiatives to deliver transformation and ongoing continuous improvement to our work practices and team leadership capabilities.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: $85,000 - $90,000/year

Responsibilities:
- Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources and Payroll policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
- Takes on a change agent role within the Plant leadership team and can build and execute change plans.
- Observes legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting.
- Key participant in all aspects of the hiring of new personnel including recruiting, interviewing, background checks, employment references, and drug screenings.
- Manages relationships with outside vendors and temporary labor vendors.
- Develop compensation and benefit plans to ensure facility objectives are met.
- Develop facility performance evaluation program.
- Provides coaching for Plant Leadership, on onboarding performance, and career development.
- Facilitates strategic people moves.
- Payroll and time keeping management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a HR Generalist or HR Manager required.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge with MS Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with an applicant tracking system is preferred.
