Quality Control Engineer

What you will be doing:

  • This position is to conduct the required warranty analysis for returned parts from customers, conduct tests, claim data monitoring, and claim trend analysis to minimize warranty cost and part improvement. The required responsibility and qualification are described below
  • Write detailed reports of field issues and make improvement recommendations
  • Communicate with customers to follow up issues and customer milestones.
  • Investigate the returned parts from customers
  • Conduct the required test for analysis / new model developments / periodic reliability test
  • Establish plans to support warranty issue for new and existing models
  • Warranty data processing (chargeback, objection)
  • Analyze warranty trend based on the customer's claim input.
  • Create Technical reports on investigations, analysis, and recommendations for related teams.
  • Strong willingness to continuous improvement in knowledge/skill /work environment
  • Train new employees in quality assurance team for the test and warranty related equipment use/procedure

What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or a related area and one (1) to five (5) years of Mechanical Engineering experience preferably at an OEM, or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances
  • Working knowledge and experience using pneumatic/hydraulic units, height gage, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gage blocks, computerized gages, and torque gauges
  • Strong knowledge of basic physics
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must know basic quality terms, definitions, and concepts
  • Technical writing skills
  • Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required
  • Be able to travel in USA and abroad as required


Technical Competencies:

  • Must have in-depth knowledge for Microsoft Excel(Macro), Power Point, Word
  • Must understand part drawing, geometric specification, and basic physic
  • Must understand basic principle for chassis component like brakes


Non-Technical Competencies:

  • Must have good problem-solving skills, communication skills, and organization skills.
