Job Description
REGIONAL CLINICAL DIRECTOR

DEPARTMENT: Clinical FLSA: Exempt
SUPERVISOR: Chief Clinical Officer
POSITION SUMMARY: Plan, direct, manage, and oversee regional clinical services in assigned scope of responsibility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Regional Clinical Director is instrumental in creating alignment with the company’s mission and core values, supporting the overall clinical oversight of ASPIRE Day School (ADS) and partnering with operations leadership to ensure clinical services, programs and initiatives are in alignment with and drives business results.

This position is the clinical leader and responsible for the coordination of the overall health and wellness of the adolescents and youth within ADS, as well as providing direct clinical oversight for assigned locations.
Observes, identifies, evaluates, and recommends performance and process management standards to effectively manage the delivery of quality care and services to clients to meet or exceed all federal, state and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Management
1. Responsible for oversight and performance management of the company’s monitoring efforts with focus on specific areas including but not limited to the following areas:
• CANS and CALOCUS assessments
• Diagnostic assessments
• Person-Centered treatment plans
• Clinical service delivery
2. Assists and trains Clinical Director in attaining the skills needed to meet the care needs of the clients, fostering a person-center approach to the planning and delivery of services, and supporting client’s rights to participate in decision making.
3. Provides training to the clinical team on the company assessment tools and the development of treatment plans assessing the health, functional and psychosocial status of each student.


Clinical
1. Monitors effective implementation of program policies and procedures governing clinical services.
2. Evaluate clinical practices to ensure consistence with standards of professional practice, company standards and in accordance with the applicable professional licensing board.
3. Participates in facility Quality Assurance program; ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations.
4. Assists personnel in making comprehensive clinical assessment of client needs to determine appropriate level of care.
5. Audit clinical records and chart notes periodically or as needed or directed.
6. Follow-up on facility incident reports that are clinically related and develop/monitor treatment plan modifications in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
7. Monitor compliance with plans of correction in collaboration with the Compliance Department.
8. Gather performance improvements indicators and survey data to identify trends. Develops plans of corrective actions with Clinical Directors, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, and VP.
9. Make on-site visits to assess clinical services and provide consultation and recommendations for improvement as needed.
10. Furnish written reports regarding areas of concern to the Chief Clinical Officer making recommendations for correction of problem areas and assisting the facility in developing their own plan of correction.

Operations
1. Participates in troubleshooting with clinical team and keeps them updated on clinical activities and developments as well as expectations from corporate.
2. Makes policy and procedure recommendations to Chief Clinical Officer.
3. Acts as the interim Clinical Director during periods when a vacant position occurs.
4. Maintains considerable knowledge of the Accreditation, State, and Federal regulations governing Day Treatment services.

1. Follow and communicate Company policies and procedures, mission statement, core values and founding principles.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited educational institution (school of nursing). Enhanced qualification BSN, MSN, advanced certification in geriatric care.

License/Registration: Independently licensed in the State of Kentucky and/or Ohio as a LCSW, LCPC, or Psychologist with desire to become licensed in both Kentucky and Ohio.
Continuing Education: Encouraged and required to meet state regulations and program needs.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years clinical experience working with adolescents and youth with behavioral health disorders and 5 years of experience working as a Clinical or Program Director, as defined by:
a) Experience in a community mental health center, post-masters, which includes managing, and program development.
b) Experience in a licensed psychiatric facility other than a mental health center, which includes clinical management and program development.
Job Knowledge: Working knowledge of adolescent behavioral health treatment, individual and group therapy, etc.; comprehensive knowledge of general evidenced-based therapy theory and practice with knowledge of principles and methods involved in instruction of a behavioral health framework; ability to assess program’s clinical needs; familiarity with behavioral health facility policies, regulations, and procedures; knowledge of application of principles of personnel administration in assigning, supervising, and evaluating activities of staff; knowledge and application of techniques and methods of person-centered care. Ability to assess systems and implement systems.
