Overview

JFD Tube & Coil Products, Inc is a custom manufacturer of shell & tube heat exchanger.  The successful candidate will be fitting & welding all gauges of metal pipe, plate, and tube including carbon and stainless steels using multiple processes in a safe manner, and in accordance with shop drawings and JFD/ASME quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1.             Fitting & Welding on all gauges of metals, carbon and alloy steels, stainless & nickel alloys.  SMAW, GTAW, GMAW.  Welding in all                  positions in accordance with written welding procedures

2.             Ox/fuel Operations (Burning, Heating)

3.             Read and interpret shop drawings.

Education & Experience:

1.             Certificate from a college or trade school, or 5+ years experience on the job

2.             Ability to communicate and be trained effectively in English a must

3.             Must be able to read and understand a drawing in English

4.             High attention to detail, with ability to analyze complex information. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Ability to lift 100 lbs, carry 50 lbs, stoop, kneel, crawl, walk, and stand continuously for minimum 8 hour period.  Ability to manipulate welding fixtures, place material in fixtures overhead and weld in various positions for extended periods.  Eyesight corrected to 20/20 with excellent depth perception.

Prerequisites:

As part of the application, each applicant must pass a weld test in the 45° or 6G position.  JFD will supply all the materials, consumables, and equipment required to complete the test coupon(s).  Coupons will be examined, and if acceptable to the requirements of ASME Section IX, the welder will be considered for employment

Salary & Benefits:

Hourly wage $19-$25/hr DOE.  Benefits include (after probationary period) paid vacation & paid holidays, Bonus, 401(k) with matching, profit sharing, medical, dental, life insurance.
