Lead Warehouse & Material Handler

Job Description
Intermountain Electronics, Inc., is seeking a Lead Warehouse & Material Handler located at our South Point, OH facility. IE is a leading provider of custom engineered and manufactured process and electrical systems to the mining, oil & gas, and power/utility industries in North America. IEs turnkey products are generally mobile mounted on skids or in portable e-houses. Our products include portable power/generators, substations, electrical control rooms (MCCs/VFDs/switchgear), water-flood/disposal buildings, compressor skids, metering equipment, mining power skids, LACT units, and other products used in the energy, oil & gas, and mining sectors.

*Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

The essential duties of this position are:

Warehouse

1. Track, monitor and maintain point of use inventory on shop floor; Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed

2. Assemble/stage job carts for manufacturing and rebuild making sure:

a. Boxes are organized and prepared to meet production schedule

b. Are accurate, containing all the required parts

3. Reads production schedule/ work order, to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed

4. Conveys materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.

5. Ensures items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner

6. Keeps warehouse clean by sweeping, dusting, collecting garbage

7. Run errands as needed

8. Loads and unloads freight in an efficient and safe manner utilizing the appropriate tools and equipment

9. As requested, verify all receipts including purchase order ID and verify to packing slip and products received

10. Research and reconcile receiving problems as requested

11. Act as support for Warehouse Clerks/Inventory Control Clerk

12. Perform cyclic counts and assist with inventory maintenance

Tools and Equipment

1. Safe use of overhead cranes, forklifts hoists, to assist in moving, unloading, and loading material

2. Operate misc. hand tools.

3. Properly care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment is properly stored at the end of each shift.

Other Essential Duties

1. Maintains regular and consistent job attendance, comes to work on time.

Experience and Skills

• Must have 5 years of experience in warehouse team leadership
• High School Diploma or equivalent plus one year experience in the inventory control area using automated warehouse management and/or inventory systems
• Must be able to read English, count accurately, do simple math, and write English legibly
• The ability to operate a forklift is essential
• Must be reliable, responsible, dependable and able to fulfill obligations
• Lift Up To 50 Lbs, Push/Pull Up To 100 Lbs
• Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for an extended period of time
• Ability to follow directions and being careful about detail is extremely important
• Good PC skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and MS Outlook, EPICOR and other specialized purchasing applications
• Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments
• Ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision
• Must be team player and self-motivated
• Bottom line focus to delivering value to the organization
