POSITION SUMMARY
The LM2/Hybrid lining operator is responsible for the smooth operation of the machine, and the overall quality of both the cap and the liner.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Create product labels utilizing the customer work order information.
- Verify that the cap and liner match the product description on the work order and label.
- Fill hoppers with caps, as needed throughout the shift and inspect boxes before dumping.
- Fill liner feed bowls, as needed.(Hybrid)
- Load liner on reel and feed into machine as required.
- Clear jams as they occur. Place broken caps or bad product in the scrap box.
- Perform quality checks as explained in procedure 10.5.49 CM Auto-Lining In-Process Inspection.
- Perform hourly SPC inspections- checking the depth of the liner.(Hybrid)
- Perform camera challenge as required.
- Record inspection results in the system.
- Place full boxes onto the appropriate skid and move full skids to an area for pick up by forklift operator.
- Achieve daily production goals listed for the machine (120,000-135,000, depending on product running).
- Sign off on complete orders, and notify the supervisor.
- Completely and accurately fill out all necessary paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department at all times.
- Identify which type of adhesive needs to be used and when.
- Accurately weigh and record scrap.
- Grease and oil machine as required.
- Remove, clean and re-install glue tips after properly trained to do so.
- Remove, clean, and re-install cap holdback after properly trained to do so.
- Prepare machine and materials for the next shift.
- Ability to multi task and work well with others in a team environment.
- Follow machine and safety procedures as well as general plant safety guidelines.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience:
6 plus months of experience in manufacturing required.
Computer Skills:
General computer knowledge to perform data entry.
Other Requirements:
Knows how to read a ruler/tape measure.
