QA Specialist - Production

The Quality Assurance Specialist - Production position is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and reviewing Production related documentation to meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Review of Production batch records and release of materials for Production use.
• Review and release of incoming or retested raw materials.
• Oversee the disposal of rejected materials.
• Oversee the sampling of incoming and retested raw materials.
• Work with Management on raw material needs.
• Work with Management on performing internal audits of the facility.
• Write and review Department SOPs.
• Perform additional Quality Assurance tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

1. This position requires walking/standing throughout the day
2. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience:
  • Candidates must have a high school diploma, AS degree in related sciences preferred.
  • 5-10 years prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or nutritional supplement industry in Quality Assurance or a similar area.
• Technical Skills / Other Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and writing skills.
  • String computer skills; proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
