Project Engineer

Position Summary:

The Project Engineer - Commercial is responsible for coordinating, preparing, scheduling, and monitoring of all construction documents and managing all submittals on a daily basis.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

· Assists with scanning, managing, and organizing paper and electronic plans.

· Coordinate with vendors for pricing.

· Assist with creating shop drawings and project manuals.

· Manage all components of job submittals.

· Plan, Prepare and schedule all pre-PCT meetings with applicable Hirschi personnel.

· Responsible for understanding builders’ philosophies, hierarchy, bid format, and presentation requirements.

· Assist the Permits Department with obtaining necessary permits.

Experience, Educational, and Additional Requirements:

· Minimum of 1-years’ experience as an Project Engineer preferred.

· BA degree in Construction Management, or other similar field of study preferred.

· Pass the company’s Driver Approval Process required

· Proficient in Microsoft Office software required.

· Knowledge of Procore Software.

· Must work well under pressure and deadlines.

· Must have a likeable personality and ability to get along with customers.

· Must have the ability to read plans and engineering (i.e. architectural, shop drawings, and structural, and civil plans, etc.)

· Must have both excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Must be able to lift 50lb.

· Pass mandatory employment drug test required.
