Counselor

Job Description:
Provides mental health counseling services to students that includes clinical evaluations, documentation and case records through electronic health records, scheduling appointments,
crisis intervention, and collaborate and coordination of care with health services and community resources.

Essential Functions:  
Provide mental health counseling for the general student population that includes clinical evaluations, documentation, electronic case records, scheduling appointments, crisis
intervention, suicide risk assessment, coordination of care with the campus health services and community resources, advocating for students as appropriate with faculty and staff and campus
mental health and wellness presentations. Additional duties as assigned

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology. The degree must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council
  for Higher Education Accreditation
• Current licensure as a mental health counselor i.e. LGSW, LCSW,LPC or LPCC
• Minimum of two years counseling
• Preferably higher education work experience
• Evidence of continual professional development in the field of concentration
