BI SQL Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence, Azure, SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Azure cloud services and SQL databases. The candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, data modeling, and ETL processes.

This role requires the individual to interact with the business while focusing on problem solving, quality, and producing highly scalable solutions as a solutions developer.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop business intelligence solutions using Azure cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Power BI.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and procedures to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
• Create data models and design ETL processes to transform and load data into the data warehouse.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in the data warehouse and BI reports.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and scalability.
• Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
• Assist in the implementation and integration of new data sources and technologies.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BI solutions and data pipelines.
• Support of SQL DBs for various ERP

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or Data Analyst.
• Strong experience in Data Modeling, DAX, SQL
• 6+ years of experience as a SQL/BI Developer, with a focus on Power BI and Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency in SQL querying and database development, including complex joins, subqueries, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience in developing interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for data integration and ETL workflows.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Understanding of Finance in relations to SQL Reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
