SMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Field Service Technician!

Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Location: Detroit, MI, U.S.A.

Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)

Pay: Starts at $26.00 an hour

Shift Structure: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The role of the Field Service Technician: This position is responsible for installation, maintenance, servicing, and testing of high quality medical device systems and system components. Up to 80% domestic travel is required for this role throughout the midwest and northeast.

Conduct proper system installation, hardware/software upgrades, service repair calls, and preventive maintenance on medical systems.
Maintain accurate service records and adhere to Quality Management System standards.
Efficiently manage travel and communication based on weekly schedules.
Provide detailed business expense reports in compliance with Company policy.
Support Company initiatives and regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations.
Foster positive communication and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

About the Field Service Technician:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Associates or technical degree required (or relevant experience).
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred.
Exceptional troubleshooting ability.
Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
Mechanical assembly and able to work with tools.
COI is required to work at various institutions on behalf of the client.
Previous experience in a medical device company preferred
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to interface with multiple groups within the organization.
Positive attitude with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Technical writing skills are a plus.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
Multitasking abilities with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
Regular and predictable attendance with occasional overtime required.
