Field RN Supervisor - Registered Nurse - CHHA

Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced RN Field Supervisor for a Certified Home Health Agency. Openings in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years recent Home Health experience. The Field Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the direction, coordination and direct supervision of the agency’s home health nurses and nursing services. Agency provides comprehensive and personalized home health care services for older adults, helping to maximize individual independence at home.

Responsibilities:

The Field Nurse Supervisor provides in-field professional supervision and on the job training to home health RNs. The Field Nurse Supervisor also assists in classroom and field competency testing.

Qualifications:

• New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a related health or human services field, desired.
• Three year satisfactory nursing experience in Home Care, desired.
• Thorough knowledge of the scope of practice of professional and paraprofessional healthcare.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before customers/ clients or employees of the agency.
• Ability to perform mathematical operations as related to medication, calculations, units of money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
• Good organizational writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
