POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography and all other Cardiopulmonary testing procedures as required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assume responsibility for the proper procedure being performed in a safe manner.
Work independently, utilizing ingenuity, dexterity, and initiative to produce optimal examinations.
Monitor the patient's condition and needs while in the imaging department.
Maintain close communication with the Radiologist or in his absence, the attending physician.
Have a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology in relation to diagnostic cardiac sonography.
Keep abreast of current and new procedures and equipment.
Maintain a current certification of CPR.
Maintains strict confidentiality.
Consistently displays a positive attitude and a personal commitment to excellence.
Performs related duties as required.
Have a working knowledge of PACS
Have a working knowledge of EMR.
Stock and clean work area.
Regular and reliable attendance required.

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited school of ultrasound.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
Current CPR Certification.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk or hear. This position on occasion will require you to lift objects up to 40lbs. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, balance, crouch or crawl. Ability to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency. Repetitive motion of upper body required for extended use of machines and computers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; the days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position requires on-site attendance.

Travel
Traveling to one satellite clinic per day on an assigned routine.

Work Environment:
This position requires regular and reliable on-site attendance.
