Fixed and Rotating Equipment Engineer

This is a critical role to ensure equipment uptime and reliability, where you'll work alongside dedicated maintenance staff, equipment inspectors, PSM professionals, and various process & project engineers.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  You’ll provide day-to-day technical support to refinery Operations & Maintenance personnel as a Fixed Equipment Expert with advanced knowledge of design and inspection codes.

Ø  Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance equipment maintenance strategies and inspection programs, conduct employee training.

Ø  Conduct reliability engineering analysis, including life cycle cost analysis; identify process and economic impacts associated with equipment failures and operating reliability.

Ø  Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations and develop effective corrective actions. Eventually, participate as one of the Lead Incident Investigators onsite.

Ø  Oversee inspection processes, evaluate results, and conduct Fitness-For-Service evaluations per API 579.

Ø  Initiate and champion improvement projects to optimize equipment life.

Ø  Collaborate with the PSM team on Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance (OSHA 1910.119); complete MOC forms and participate in PHAs.

Ø  Partner with project engineers to ensure compliance with ASME and API standards, reviewing equipment designs and repairs.

Ø  Support Turnaround planning and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

v  BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.

v  A wide range of experience considered, from near entry level to seasoned professional. Your co-op in a related role will be considered as they evaluate a diverse talent.

v  1 year & near entry level qualifies at the bottom of the salary range plus 15% bonus target.

v  10+ years’ relevant experience qualifies me to be closer to the top of the range + 20% bonus target. 

v  Experience in a high-risk industry such as refining, petrochemical, or chemical processing is required; Maintenance, Reliability, or Equipment focused engineering,

v  Strong technical knowledge, including familiarity with ASME, API codes, and OSHA PSM element.

v  Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
