Responsibilities:

• As a DSP for this role, you will be assisting staff and participants to get ready for their busy day. Insuring everyone will be ready and on time for the busy day ahead of them.
• Assisting clients with participant's meals, bathing & grooming (if needed)
• 1 year experience with physical and behavior disabilities preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Required to stand, walk, and sit
• Computer aptitude for use of "Therap" (application used in daily work and will train)
• State of CT Drivers License is required. Must pass clean transportation background check (partner with Ride Share), in event needs to used transport vehicles
  • Must be at least 21 years old
    • Clean driving history within last 5 years (no accidents, suspensions, moving violations)
    • Must have an valid, clean, non-restricted Connecticut Driver's License with a minimum 3 years possession (in U.S.)
• PREFERRED:
• PMT certification, CPR/First aid-- Paid training to obtain first week of onboarding
• AED Certified within 6 months of hire required (will train)
• Medical Certification Card preferred upon hire, will train and provide study time (is required to obtain to retain employment)
