Warehouse Shipping Supervisor

Job Summary:


As the Shipping Supervisor, you'll step into a key role, guiding and enhancing the Fulfillment Department's shipping operations. You'll lead a team of shippers, championing safety and workplace standards, and fostering a dynamic culture of efficiency and teamwork. This position calls for active participation in daily operations, coaching and empowering your team, and upholding top-notch standards in shipping processes. While expertise in shipping is valued, candidates with comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations will be considered equally.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support shipping team with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) execution for accurate, well-packed shipments, while identifying and addressing process bottlenecks for efficiency.
• Ensure timely processing and fulfillment of time-sensitive products using the Priority Fulfillment Dashboard, while managing the Fulfillment Request sheet.
• Provide clear direction, supervision to direct reports, ensuring performance objectives are achieved.
• Cultivate a culture of respect, teamwork, accountability, safety throughout warehouse, leading by example and conducting interviews for warehouse recruits.
• Supervise, guide warehouse staff to achieve business outcomes, performance objectives as a unified team, enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Ensure adherence to Employee Code of Conduct, workplace expectations, including cleanliness, organization in work centers.
• Provide mentorship, coaching to shipping staff for professional growth and development.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operations and how to progress towards efficiency and quality.
• Shipping process familiarization is preferred.
• Problem solving oriented towards finding solutions both to ensure short term and long-term customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data management and analysis.
